If you are interested in working at The Cradle, send us your inquiry. | | | How do I deactivate my Cradle member account? If you no longer wish to have a Cradle member account, simply contact us with the e-mail address associated with your account and our technical team will deactivate your account. If you wish to re-activate your account at any time in the future, we will gladly take care of that for you as well! | | | How do I unsubscribe from e-mail lists? If you no longer wish to receive e-mail communications from The Cradle, click on the link at the bottom of the e-mail that reads “to update/change your account click here." This will take you to an account management page where you can unsubscribe from our e-mails. You can also contact us with your e-mail address and we will remove you. | | | I didn't receive my password by e-mail. What should I do? First, check your e-mail client to ensure that the e-mail has not been blocked by a spam filter or landed in your junk box. You can add mail@thecradle.com to your list of approved addresses to prevent missing future Cradle e-mails as well.
If you still are unable to locate your password via e-mail, please contact us and our technical support team will assist you with accessing your Cradle account for the first time. | | | How do I change my password? In order to change your member password, you will need to sign in to your Cradle account and access the My Dashboard page in the My Cradle section. From there, you can access My Settings. Scroll down and click the ‘Edit Account Information and Change Password’ button. On the My Account Settings page, click the ‘Change Password’ button. You will be prompted to enter your new password twice, then hit ‘Save.’ |
| COMMUNITY QUESTIONS | | | How do I post a message on The Cradle Message Boards? First, sign in to The Cradle. If you are not yet a member, click 'Join' to sign up for a free membership. Then in ‘The Cradle Message Boards’, click on the category that you are interested in. Start a new thread (topic) by clicking ‘Post A New Thread’ or click on an existing thread and write a ‘Reply’. | | | Can I have My Pregnancy Progress e-mailed to me? At this time we cannot e-mail your Pregnancy Progress to you, but we hope to offer that very soon! | | | What are ‘Keywords’ and how do I use them? What is the benefit of using them? In ‘My Cradle’, you can select ‘keywords’ based on your interests. Selecting keywords has two benefits. 1) The feature 'My Articles of Interest' will display articles relevant to your chosen keywords. 2) By clicking on a one of your selected keywords, you can see which other members of The Cradle have selected that keyword. It's a great way to find other members with similar interests. | | | How can I find friends and family that may already be using The Cradle? To search for other members, you must first sign in to the site. If you are not yet a member, click 'Join' to sign up for a free membership. Go to the ‘My Cradle' section, and use the search box on the left side of the page. If you are looking for a friend or family member's public web page, search for them from the home page or the Friends & Family landing page in the 'Find a Member's Web Page' search box. | | | What is my Cradle e-mail address? My Cradle Mail is an internal mail system for members of The Cradle. Members can send Cradle Mail to other members while in My Cradle by clicking on 'Send me Cradle Mail' in any member's ID Card. There is no direct address for members (or people outside of The Cradle) to send messages. |
| REGISTRY QUESTIONS | | | Can I register for my baby shower at The Cradle? While The Cradle doesn't have its own registry, you can easily display and link to the retailers where you have a registry. | | | How can I share my registries with my friends and family? Your friends and family can access your registries from your public web page. If you have not yet set up a web page, sign in to your account and go to MY WEB PAGE. To configure your registry links, go to MY CRADLE >> MY DASHBOARD and click on the 'Customize Links' in the MY REGISTRY LINKS feature. From there, you can choose a retailer from our featured retailer list or type in the name and URL/link for the store(s) where you have a gift registry. |
| MY WEB PAGE QUESTIONS | | | | How can my friends and family read my blog? In order for your friends and family to read your blog, you must first set up your own web page. First, sign in to The Cradle.
Go to ‘My Cradle' and click on ‘My Web Page’ in the navigation on the left side of the page. Follow the instructions to create your own web page. Your web page will display everything from your blog on your ‘Cradle Profile’ page (if you have one). You can also add to your blog directly from your webpage in the ‘Journal’ section.
The last step is to invite your friends and family by clicking the link at the top of your web page. | | | | Can I upload videos to my web page? At this time we do not support videos, however we hope to in the near future. | | | How do I change or remove my password on my web page? If you have already set a password on your personal web page, you have the option of either removing it or changing it in the future. To remove the password, access the My Web Page area. From this page, you should make no template changes, scroll down, and click the ‘Save and Continue’ button. You will then have the option to remove your password by clicking the circle next to ‘No, I don’t want to use a password.’ Then be sure to click the ‘Save and Go to My Web Page’ button.
To change your password, be sure to select ‘Yes, I would like to use a password’ and then enter your desired password in the text box to the right. Then click ‘Save and Go to My Web Page.’ | | | How do I change the template on my web page? NOTE: Changing the template on your existing web page will delete any existing information in the header (including the header title and photo). You will also need to re-select any poll you may have had on your web page. To change the template on your personal web page, access the My Web Page area. From here, scroll down and select the new template you would like. Then be sure to click the ‘Save and Continue’ button at the bottom of the page. | | | How do I delete photos from my web page? In order to manage the photos on your personal web page, you must access them in the My Photos area, located in My Dashboard on the bottom right side of the page. Under each of your photos, you will notice various picture icons. To delete any photo, click the trashcan icon located underneath the photo you would like to delete. Please note that this will delete the photo entirely from your account and it will not be accessible in My Cradle Profile, My Dashboard, or your personal web page. | | | How do I delete my web page? Should you want to delete your personal web page, simply access the My Web Page area. Near the top of this page, you will see a link that says ‘If you want to delete your web page, click here.’ Click this link and then you will be asked to confirm that you would like to delete your web page. | | | I deleted my web page, but decided I want it back! Is there any way to retrieve it? Absolutely! Simple access the My Web Page area, choose your template and click ‘Save and Continue.’ Most of your previous information will be retrieved. However, please note that you may lose information in the header (including the header title and photo), and if you had a poll selected, you will need to select it again. |
